Garden Oasis near Waikiki Beach, shopping, and dining
Enter the light and plant-filled lobby of Aqua Oasis and understand immediately how this boutique Waikiki hotel got its name. Walls of greenery, orchids surrounding indoor water features, and a koi and turtle pond - all just a short walk from the beach and near the best shopping in Waikiki, dining, and nightlife. it truly feels like an oasis in the midst of the city. When unwinding between activities, come “home” to a serene atmosphere. Take a dip in the intimate soaking pool, lay out on the sun deck, and grab a bite to eat at Aloha Steak House Waikiki. When its time to galavant again, the on-site concierge can help plan exciting adventures. The Oasis’ charm speaks for itself - it’s a slice of paradise in the heart of Waikiki.
Love the deep soak tub. The front desk people were super helpful.
Rooms were quiet. AC cold. My son liked the free breakfast because it had his favorite cereal and bagels. Valet service is kinda pricey per night ($39)
Superb Gem of a hotel
The staff, location and price were all excellent. I was on a working trip, and the staff made sure that I received packages promptly and arranged for transportation to meetings and the airport. The hotel is on a quiet street-except for the rooster across the way--but just blocks from the main parts of Waikiki and the beach. I would definitely stay there again.
This has been our fourth staycation at the Aqua Oasis. The staff is absolutely great. They were friendly and attentive. I was allowed early check in. Which was a major plus. The room was clean, bed was comfy. My favorite of all is the spacious bath tub! Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many eateries and shopping centers.
Great Stay for a Budget!
We booked this hotel super last minute after our Airbnb we booked was not what we expected and we couldn't bare to spend another night there! We found Aqua Oasis online at Last Minute travel - we booked a junior suite and we ended up getting an even better room than we thought thanks to Olivia at the front desk! We had such a wonderful time. The room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, the balcony was large and covered, the AC worked great and the continental breakfast was great! You don't get too much of a view other than the buildings, but we didn't care! It was in a nice part of Honolulu and you could walk to the beach or around the stores easily. They had lots of signs regarding social distancing (even in the elevators) and hand sanitizer stations all around. Super clean hotel. No complaints and we would definitely stay there again! Thanks again Olivia! After having a not so great experience the first few days in Honolulu, you helped save the last few days of our Honeymoon :)
STILL COMING BACK WITH JOY
Still one of those good destinations for a boutique hotel away from the hustle & bustle of Waikiki. A few renovations since it was called the "Joy Hotel" back in the day, but to get it back to the state-of-the-art status again, will need some work. Valet parking fills-up quickly, but there is an around the corner parking option that is cheaper. Lewers street, headed towards the beach-side of waikiki, has many businesses and eateries in walking distance. Covid-19 protocols are in place... so be aware, stay safe, and wear your F'n masks & respect the island, the culture, the people, and each other! Mahalo!
When you're not out exploring, kickback and chill with amenities like our sun deck and dipping pool. Our hotel offers an intimate boutique experience in a lush open-air setting that's true to its name, Oasis.
