At The Maui Banyan, you don’t have to compromise. With two pools, a tennis court, a swimming beach across the street, and a range of unit types (rooms and condos), you can have
everything you need on vacation, including the satisfaction that you are getting a great value. Our condos come equipped with kitchens and laundry or take a true break from it all and stay in a hotel room. You may never want to leave the property, but if you do be sure to enjoy nearby golf courses, great restaurants and shops in neighboring Kihei and Wailea.
This home away from home has it all! My hubby and I spent 8 fabulous nights in this darling condo which possesses so much tropical charm. We were looking for a “traditional” experience and loved the theme throughout the condo. We found this place to be in excellent condition and very clean. Oh and don’t worry about needing to stop for ice, I only wished mine worked that well at home,lol. Great location, near many eateries, shops and a very short walk to the beach. Don’t forget to get yourself a “shaved ice” just a few miles down the road!
Don’t bother looking elsewhere, book yourself your dream vacation today!
Great location and friendly staff
A great condo style hotel and right across the street from the beach!
This was our first time in Maui celebrating my mom’s 50th birthday.
The place and experience wasn’t 100% smooth but the hotel staff was VERY accommodating and made it such a pleasant experience.
Like others may have mentioned, upon arriving we were out on the third floor where the elevator wasn’t working. Immediately after arriving to our room, we found that the hotel room wasn’t like the pictures from the deluxe room we had booked. Additionally, there were ants roaming around one of the beds and the bathroom floor.
We called the front desk immediately and they were so nice and requested to move us to another room in a building where the elevator worked.
The new room they moved us to was perfect. Ocean view and spacious just like the pictures. The beds were comfy, kitchen has everything we needed, fully furnished with tv and ac.
Loved that we were able to rent towels for the beach and free movie rentals as well. Lots of community items you can check out for the beach as well.
5 stars for the location
5 stars for the front desk
5 stars for the help staff and clean staff
4 stars for the hotel itself
They are still renovating a lot of the rooms but if you get a good one, it’s definitely worth it. Would stay here again!
the Worst hotel that we had for so many years
Stayed for 2 nights at early December and this is the worst experience so far. The hotel was a disappointment from the moment we arrived.
1 The elevator of our building wasn’t working & they assigned a room at 5th floor. we noticed the front dest and were told that the elevator wont be fixed until half month later;Apprately they have no intention to get it fixed ASAP;
2 The parking lot looks like has three floors(no elevator of course), but the first two are all reserved!! Without letting us know ahead, we had to carry the luggages down from the third floor of the parking lot, and to front desk and then to 5th floor;
3 the light by the door was not working and was told that the maintainance team is off ;
4 the wall is thin like a paper, not soundproof at all. Had someone yelling at 12 am next door, called front desk four times and nobody answered, I had to knock the door of neighboring room at midnight by myself;
5 the staff is so rude and unfriendly, the guy who works at our building who supposed to help us to carry the luggage upstairs disappeared everytime when we stopped our vehicle in front of the building, so lazy and sluggish, I guess he didn't wanna make tips anyway;
6 booked reservation through booking with pictures of stove & kitchen and they refused to honor it, bad customer service!!
I usually don't write negative reviews, but this one MUST STAY AWAY!!! I would score negative if I can.
Pleasant enough, good location but needs working lifts
(Greater Melbourne, Australia)
Aston at Maui Banyan is more of an apartment complex than a hotel as such. My room had some basic cooking facilities (a microwave oven). Location is great - directly opposite a sandy, life-guarded beach, shops & restaurants a shortish walk to the north. Drawbacks were inefficient air-conditioner, & lack of working elevators - had to drag my luggage to my room on 4th floor. My lock did have lifts - but sealed off for some reason. Receptionist at front desk very helpful - used her own phone to e-mail some documents I needed to send off (happy to give her a tip). Reception not open until 7:00am though - inconvenient for early departures. I didn't dislike the place but with a few improvements it could have been much better.
A Resort for the Middle Class in Maui
The Aston at Maui’s Banyan was a nice priced resort. The rooms were spacious with a large deck. The Aston was not lavish but very comfortable and had a great walking distance to the beach. Several shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
