First Time to Maui

It was our first time to Maui. The one bedroom, one bathroom garden view room was very comfortable. We had everything we needed to prepare our food that we brought in. The onsite restaurant has awesome food. We were no disappointed with anything here.

I am staying at a 2 bedroom 2 bath privately owned room here at the Aston Kaanapali Shores resort. The place is quiet, the pool is nice, the grounds are clean, and the people are nice. Some things are dated, but overall, I am glad we are staying here. We are a few minutes to Lahaina which is convenient. Our balcony gives us a view of the courtyard, pool, and ocean. Don't expect a normal beach here though. As the tide comes in it covers what sand is there, and when it is out, there is a beach for a while......The good news is, that there are plenty of beautiful beaches nearby.
Great view of the beach from the swimming pool. Garden pool is beautiful, very family friendly. Nice grounds with beautiful gardens and space to play outdoor games. Bus stop and shopping centre with supermarket across the road.

If you are fortunate enough to travel to Maui, this is a great location near Lahaina. We traveled as a family of 6 and stayed at this resort which was well equipped with tennis courts, a small beach, outdoor grills, two amazing pools, two bars, gift/clothing/food/liquor shop and a restaurant. The rooms are more like condominiums with a full kitchen, two full baths a small washer/dryer and a balcony. We were able to grocery shop across the street and stock our kitchen. Having breakfast at 'home' with children was convenient, time-saving and economical. We also got a cooler and packed lunches to bring on our beach and snorkeling excursions as well as packing food for our drive through the West Maui Mountains and the road to Hana. The property is immaculate, lush and very safe feeling. The staff was kind and friendly and we always enjoyed the activities by the pool. We met many families who were returning guests to Ka'anapalli which is a testament to the resort. We hope to return next summer Aloha!
Unforgettable First Trip to Gorgeous Ka'anapli

My wife, my sister and my brother-in-law and I traveled the last week of April and the first week of May 2018 to the gorgeous Ka'anapali coast in West Maui and stayed at Aston Ka'anapali Shores. If there is an amenity this resort does not offer, I don't know what it is. The four of us had a wonderful time. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The on-site dining at the Beach Club Restaurant provided excellent food for all three meals and wonderful tropical drinks for those, like me, who love to partake. Whether you eat in the dining room or at the bar, you don't be disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food. We also frequented the shops where I can truthfully say "if they don't have it; you don't need it." Lots of food items, snacks, sodas, beer, wine, gifts, etc. The only negative, and I don't fault the resort for this, is that there is little, if any, sand on the beach. Locals say most of the sandy beach was washed away during a recent storm. This absence of beach necessitated us driving to Kihei and Wailea (a quick 20 mile drive) where golden shores abound. When staying at Aston, take care to note where the resort is located as it is a little difficult to find coming to it off highway 30.
