You will find all you need, right here.
This is in the perfect location! 1 block from beach, the food trucks, tour buses pick up at end of block! The staff was wonderful! The whole wall was glass with a sliding glass door onto the deck with a view of the ocean! Near bike, moped and car rentals. Has a pool on the roof, a work out room and a room to hold larger gatherings and great laundry facilities. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Staying at the Pacific Monarch, I have a Studio Suite with a partial ocean view on the 23rd floor. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room large with a full kitchen. I was able to enjoy Breakfast in my room!!
Staff is very helpful & friendly! Location is one block from the beach and surrounded by all conveniences with the Bus stopping out front.
The only negative on the room is the lack of a balcony. Only the 1 bedrooms offer a balcony!!
Best choice in Waikiki
We've spend 10 days in Waikiki in the Aqua Pacific Monarch and our idea was to live in a small but centrally located apartment with a small kitchen so we could prepare our own meals if we wanted to. Also we are both not typically huge fans of hotel breakfast as it typically is over-priced compared to what you really get.
With that in mind we picked the Monarch and were not at all disappointed. The apartment was big enough to not feel squeezed into a lil box so once you got out of the bed the day started at the breakfast table (coffee machine had been activated before :-)) with a large cup of self-made Kona coffee and a simple white toast with cheese. (Be aware that the ABC Stores in the neighborhood massively overcharge you on the basic stuff even - so it's worth to get to one of the supermarkets near by and get your stuff there)
The Monarch is in walking distance to all the important spots in Waikiki. Even Diamond Head would be in reach if you don't mind starting your hike through the suburbs of Waikiki...
All rooms were comfortably equipped, daily fresh towels if you wanted them, beach towels, TV (which we only used once). Personell were all super friendly.
Great Value for Money
We stayed in a studio with kitchenette and partial Ocean Views and found it very spacious. It was handy with the kitchenette as it had a hotplate, microwave, reasonable size bar fridge, we had a couple of convenience meals, from the ABC shop nearby, at night in our room and sat and looked at the night lights while we ate, the microwave was handy for that. We also made our own breakfasts most of the time to save money a bit, again the kitchenette was handy for that. We were on the 22nd floor as was another travelling party with us, but they had a one bedroom unit (they had a child with them) and had full ocean view, but as it was at the end of the building it got hot in the afternoon. Ours had a nice breeze and saw just as much of the ocean. Another party of ours was on the 7th floor with supposed same as us, but they had no view whatsoever, except into the dilapidated noisy units next door. The city itself was very noisy with the sounds echoing around the buildings, but if you close the windows and put on the airconditioning, it is noisy, and blasts cold air straight onto the bed where you are sleeping. As it was tail end of winter the nights were pleasant, thus aircon wasn't required.
Good Value and Great Location
I recently stayed at the Aqua Pacific Monarch and was very happy with our room and accomodation.
Honolulu accomodation from my research is quite expensive and this location proved to be good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We booked a One bedroom Full ocean view room and were situated on the 22nd Floor.
The room decor is dated but that is very common with Accomodation in Honolulu from what I can tell.
It was very clean which is what counts. If you are having a family vacation to Honolulu then I would recommend this hotel definitely.
