Honolulu Zoo
An exciting array of animals and plants await you in this historical zoo. Bring your kids to spend the day with wildlife from the Pacific Islands, African Savannah, and Asian and American Tropical forests. Cross paths with a Galapagos Tortoise, an African Lion, and an Indian Elephant. It is a 15-20 minute walk from many of our Waikiki properties.

Waikiki Aquarium
Open since 1904, the Waikiki Aquarium is the second-oldest public aquarium in the United States. Get up close with Hawaii’s colorful sea creatures like the Angelfish and the Hawaiian Day Octopus. The aquarium is full of carefully-crafted habitats dedicated to the preservation of marine life.

Hanauma Bay
Hanauma Bay is a remarkable nature preserve with a lovely beach. Shallow shores with outgoing fish make it a wonderful place for kids to swim, snorkel, and play in the sand. There are plenty of shaded areas, food and beverages, and rental equipment.

Dole Plantation
Fun is growing all around the Dole Plantation. Wander through the world’s largest permanent hedge maze, tour the historic grounds on a 19th century train, and explore 8 mini gardens. Pick up gifts, treats, and yes, even a fresh pineapple from the Dole Plantation Shop.

Sea Life Park
Head to the gorgeous southeast shore to engage with sea mammals in a safe, fun environment. Kids can swim with the dolphins, enjoy a seal show, and run around on playgrounds at the bases of handsome cliffs along the ocean.

Oahu has several great spots for your “tadpoles.” Head to the beautiful beaches at Waikiki, Lanikai, or Ala Moana Beach Park for family friendly beaches with calm waters.
