Aloha Aston Kaanapali

We stayed at the Aston Kaanapali for week two of our vacation. This was our first time in Hawaii and this facility was beautiful. We had a two bedroom suite with an ocean view. We were greeted by a rainbow almost every morning. The facility was immaculate and the staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the pools and short walk to the ocean. We highly recommend the Hana tour. The concierge was very helpful. If you're going to Maui this is definitely the place to stay.
Very Nice Property in a Nice Location

We stayed two weeks at the Aston Kaanapali Shores and really enjoyed our stay. We were in unit 412 which had a nice ocean view from the Lani and an even better view from the bedroom. Our condo was a one bedroom with kitchen. The living room had 2 sofas that converted to queen size beds so the room easily could have slept 6 people. The unit also had its own washer and dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, plenty of utensils, toaster, coffee pot, microwave and full size refrigerator, dishwasher and range. Our unit also had a washer and dryer. The supermarket across the street was very convenient to walk to for whatever we needed and there is also a small store in the hotel. Also, there are filtered water bottle filling stations in the lobby and by the bar so there’s no need to buy bottled water, we just refilled our bottles each day! During our stay the property never felt crowded. We mostly used the pool by the bar and there was rarely more than a dozen people there. It was never hard to find a lounge chair by the pools. The beach out front is nice, snorkeling is fair. However if you walk ten minutes to the south there is a nice beach park called Hanoapiilani Park that has excellent snorkeling and is well worth the visit. We had a really wonderful, relaxing, vacation and we cannot wait to return here. We would recommend this place and plan to stay here again.
Shower head sat to low, refrigerator made loud noises without warning day and night. Garbage disposal smelled of rot. Overall Accommodations we’re excellent. Parking was convenient. Pool area was a highlight of our visit.
Some kitchen tools were cracked or missing, There was no cookie sheet, blender, small frying pan, salt or pepper shaker and the one spatula was cracked and hard to use. The only frying pan caused the food to stick and was hard to clean. A second chair was missing from the lanai and could not be replaced.
Be careful! The pictures on the website are NOT current. Although magnificent ocean views, the facility, and rooms are in very poor condition due to maintenance. Ask to see a room before finalizing check-in. My family and I initially stayed in suite 302. It was filthy with years of carpet stains and over-painted damaged walls and moldings. Some sliding glass doors were inoperable due to corroded aluminum and/or missing rollers. We moved to suite 602, which was better but still had similar issues. The staff was accommodating but did not appear surprised by the disappointment with the cleanliness and lack of maintenance.
