The rooms are newly renovated .The linens are clean. The hotel is just across Waikiki Beach and Hawaiian Village with many restaurants to choose from. It is also located a few blocks from Ala Moana shopping mall where there are also a lot of restaurants. For a boutique hotel, it had all the convenience offered for a restful night and convenience of a block distance from Waikiki beach. Depending on the reservation , youmay have a room with a great view of the Diamond head and partial ocean view all in one balcony. I highly recommend staying here for those who would like to stretch their budget, have extra dollars to spend for vacation needs and leisurely activities on top of hotel room fees. It makes vacation to Hawaii more fun and enjoyable.

A larger sign to indicate the location of the hotel. We had to drive around the block to maneuver the driveway. Also notice in advance to say that you would need to drive into the garage to check in. The room was very clean and comfortable but the pool was directly below our sliding door and even with the door closed and locked we could still hear the other guests laughing and playing marco polo in the poo;.

Just missing a restaurant for the breakfast and diner. I had a room on the main street which can be noisy sometimes. Otherwise great location for a really good price. I will come with my family the next time.

Me and my fiancé went to Waikiki for a family vacation a week ago. While staying at the AP we saw and killed 4 roaches in our room! The hotel appeared to be old and gave motel vibes, not as we expected. This was our first time in Hawaii and the hotel just didn’t meet our expectations.

We booked a partial view not realizing we would literally be able to see a very small view across the street between other hotels of the ocean. As someone stated in an earlier comment the hallway is slanted and weird and the rooms were a little dated. The carpet in our room had a red stain in it (hopefully it wasn't blood). Last, the morning of checkout, the sanitation workers came at day break to dump the toilets in the receptacle and woke us up. The sight of the toilets and soiled mattresses when you walk by the hotel which is on the maintain strip was a eyesore; there must be a better way to hide the trash prior to trash day.

This is our second time staying at the Aloha Surf. It isn't fancy at all but it is comfortable and clean. The staff is super helpful and friendly. It's location on the Ala Wai canal makes it a very quiet place to stay but it is only one block from the action on Kuhio and three blocks from the beach. We didn't rent a car this trip so it was nice to be so close to the bus stops on Kuhio. If you are looking for a resort experience don't stay here but if you are looking for a place to sleep after a long day of fun on Oahu this is the place to stay.

I will get the only positive part of my experience out of the way first. The concierge was the nicest person I’ve ever met. That was it. We were swayed by low rates for this hotel. (~$400 for 7 nights). After all the taxes it came out closer to ~$750 dollars. Still a really good deal for 7 nights in downtown Honolulu on Waikiki strip. When we checked in the the first night we realized we were staying in something worse than a motel six but paying twice as much. We decided it wasn’t worth it and we would pay double what we payed to stay somewhere else. Checkout and cancellation was smooth until the debit hit my account. Over $200 dollars in hidden fees for staying one night. It literally can’t get worse than paying $125 dollars for a cleaning fee where we didn’t even do anything other than use the bed to sleep in. Not to mention a $65 dollar “room charge” like we didn’t already pay for the room ??? All in all I dropped 300 dollars to stay in a rundown, wanna be motel 6 for one night. If you thought that was bad enough, they have the nerve to ask for $30 dollars a night for parking underneath the hotel that holds 15 cars max for a hotel that I would assume could have well over 200 people in one night. Never again would I pick this place to stay, even if they offered me to stay there free.

This is an older building and not fancy but it is clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and caring. It was perfect for my post-travel self-quarantine and came to feel like home away from home.

Of all the places in Waikiki I could have picked to stay at, I made the mistake of choosing this hotel. The rooms were gross, the furniture was stained beyond belief, I had to put a towel down on the couch before I sat on the crusty cushions. Security is a joke, my car and another were broken into in the hotel parking garage and the "guard" had no clue it happened and provided barely any help. The rooms were not cleaned during our stay because of covid, even though every other hotel was still providing maid service although they did take out the trash if you left it outside of your room. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and I will never stay anywhere near this place if I ever return to Waikiki.

This hotel is affordable and clean and staff are helpful! It’s small and doesn’t have many amenities, but we were just looking for a place to sleep and rest as we spent the days out exploring the island. If you’re looking for amenities or a fancy place to stay this is not for you, but if you need a good and affordable place to stay this is a great choice!

So much aloha from the staff! Definitely made me feel welcome! Room was great and very clean! Internet was the only thing that was lagging but everything else was so great!! I had just stayed there the month before and a couple of staff members remembered me! It was so sweet of them to give my boyfriend cookies for his birthday as well! Will definitely be staying here again soon!!

Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. Beach towels and chairs are provided upon request. Rooms are clean. They’re dated but well maintained. Although we didn’t eat the breakfast (too busy trying to eat around as much as possible) it included cereal, bagels, fruit, coffee, and tea. I would stay here again. Location is great! Close to everything! Mattress was nicely firm and comfortable. If I were to have one complaint, it would be the pillows. That’s it! I would definitely recommend! $25/night amenity fees - they have to pay their workers, you know. I can see that they all work very hard. Valet was $35/night with in and out access. Staff was phenomenal. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had no issues with contacting the front desk when calling for our car. All questions were answered with care. Noise from the bar, that others have mentioned wasn’t really an issue for us. There is music that plays in the hallway that kind of provides white noise. Given all that was said, this was an incredible value to vacation in Hawaii!

My parents and I had a fantastic stay at the Aqua Oasis Hotel during our trip to Waikiki in late October! It definitely lives up to the name - when you walk into the hotel, you immediately feel like you're in an oasis with all the beautiful plants and greenery and the koi pond. It is such a beautiful lobby. Our room was reasonably priced and had everything we needed and more including a kitchen, a balcony where we lounged every night and not to mention the huge bath tub in bathroom! We were also pleasantly surprised with the hotel breakfast. We enjoyed eating the delicious muffins, bagels, and fruit. Our favorite was the pineapple which tasted so sweet and fresh. We also took advantage of the hotel's beach towels and beach chairs for our beach outings. Also this location is perfect - you are close to the beach, close to the shopping and close to restaurants! We truly enjoyed our stay here at the Aqua Oasis Hotel. A big thanks to the friendly and helpful staff members for making our stay wonderful! We can't wait to visit again.

I was quite surprised by how great location and stay this was! I must say the staff are what make this hotel amazing. I wanted to especially shout out Mike the bellman. People like him are what make a hotel strive. He was hospitable and helpful. He even helped coordinate with the oncoming staff a ride for us to the airport in the morning. He saw we were four people kn a room and brought us extra towels with our bags up to the room. He knows to anticipate guest needs which is huge! I used to work in hospitality and people like Mike are who bring you back to the hotel. I can’t remember the name of the young lady who helped us at the desk. It was around 12:30 pm on 10/25/3021. She was very kind and super helpful! Hotel rooms are very roomy and perfect to come to if you are traveling with friends. They also have a continental breakfast which makes it worth it to stay as well! The location is great because you Can walk to the beach and you are near places to eat!

Honestly, the “resort” is the only negative critique I have of our entire Maui vacation. We were duped by the Aston at Papakea. First, this was our honeymoon so we didn’t wanna go cheap. We sprung for the upgrade to the “Ocean View Suite.” The picture on the site showed us looking right out at the ocean from our balcony. No, we got a pool-view room with a view of the ocean out in the distance. Yes, we could see the ocean, but our direct view from our balcony squarely faced the pool area, and we were only on the 2nd floor out of 5, this was no “ocean view.” I knew this was a price scam because there IS a quote for “pool view” but the loophole was that you can actually see the ocean, it’s just not in close view. Then there was the room itself. It was a suite kinda set up as a one bedroom apartment. It is DATED! The furniture was so sold and so uncomfortable like something out of the late 1970s, we didn’t even feel comfortable sitting on the clothed couch and chairs. It seriously needs an update, and you can tell they spring for some things because there was a brand new stackable washer/dryer in there. Shower is tiny and uncomfortable, toilet flush was weak, room was not attractive at all. All I can say is that it gave us a place to sleep, we spent most of our time out and about. Other than that, this “resort” is trash.

I would not stay at this property again. We reserved a two bedroom, with minimum of 3 beds. We received a one bedroom with a loft and only two beds. This was not appropriate for our unrelated group of senior citizens. Staff was not friendly, to the point of rude. They said they would txt when room was ready, they did not They did not offer help, or luggage racks to get bags to the room. There is no swimming beach at this property. For sand beach entry to ocean you need to walk about two properties south.

The resort was ok main bedroom had no air conditioner had to request a fan. The one bathroom is very outdated old furniture and a foul smell. You need to take out your own trash and clean up. Overall it has a pool and beach accessible and BBQ area.

Although the property is well located and the oceanfront unit had a stellar view, the unit was not clean nor well maintained. The drapes were dirty, many fixtures were dusty, the dishwasher racks were rusted with sharp protruding pieces, the bathroom was not very clean, and the unit throughout had missing ounces of molding with rot. The unit was also advertised with a/c, but it was only in the living room the farthest from the bedroom, so it was difficult to get the bedroom properly cooled.

Great location. Well-supplied kitchen. No cleaning services during your stay so you must wash your sheets and towels, sweep and vacuum and then $165 for the next group. They have multiple complexes and you don’t know where you’re going to be placed. Our assigned pool was closed for 4 days. Note they’ve eliminated the bed size choice (Queen or King) when booking!

We have stayed at the Aston at Poipu Kai three times over the past 2 decades. Our most recent visit was during the summer of 2021. We keep coming back because it is a beautiful spot! The condos are clean and comfy with all of the basics. The grounds are well maintained with great pools. The location is great if you're looking for a good home base from which to explore this incredible island. The staff has always been very helpful and hospitable. The manager, Ron, provides an informative and thorough lesson on his passion, Kauai history. He shared his personal artifacts with our family and helped give us a much deeper understanding of the story of Kauai. If you like history and want to hear from someone who is a great story teller, I would recommend this complementary opportunity. We can't wait to return!

We actually visited in September of 2019. The hospitality was superb. Beautiful views. The manager Ronald has collected native artifacts and gives a “free of charge” history talk about the artifacts and the culture of Hawaii. History lovers will love learning about the local culture!

Stayed in 511, dirty, outdated, and smelly. Upon arrival, kitchen counters were dirty, appliances sticky, hair all over bathroom as if not even swept, much less cleaned. Wondering if the “cleaning fee “ is simply an extra a pocketed fee. The font clerk was less than welcoming, and I was Charged another $290 at check in after “pre-paying”.... the total ended up being more expensive than our previous 4 nights at Aulani on Oahu (beautiful, clean beach front resort with amazing beach, wonderful service, and did I say clean??). Everything was outdated & dirty; not to mention the nasty sheets. I was itching to get home literally - as this was the last leg of our trip. Not the ending relaxation I had in mind. Eek!!

We are fortunate and grateful for this aston. The location was very convenient for us, as it was close to the hospital. longs is right downstairs, as is 7-11. The front desk staff IS truly terrific! They go above and beyond to help your stay be comfortable and convenient. The security is professional and on it!. ( That's hard to find nowadays) For those like us that did not have a car, they can quickly get a cab for you.. So, the next time you need a comfortable, clean, convenient place, call the Aston Executive Centre. They will make your stay a pleasant one.

Questionable neighbors sleeping on the street, pay for parking that was on the uppermost floor of garage, no information on where I should park or where the garage was located. I needed to call the hotel. Out dated finishes in lobby, corridors and room. The room smelled like smoke so much I would have changed rooms but I checked in too late. No gym. Pool area not acceptable. I would not return or recommend.

Maui Banyan #T-304. Oct 2021. 14 nights, party of 8 - 4 adults, 4 boys ages 4-11. Rented via Maui Condo & Home, who were fantastic. We loved it! Great location, very nice pool areas (2), very clean, the condo is very roomy (plenty of space for 8). The 3 bedroom beds were awesome; the pull-out bed was not as comfortable but still good & just fine for the 2 young boys who slept there. Very well stocked condo, A/C worked great (3 window units, each on a 6hr timer...initially seemed like it would be an issue, but it was not), washer/dryer was awesome (takes big loads), great dishwasher. If the building had an elevator (we were on 3rd flr), and was the first rather than last building in the complex, I'd have nothing left to suggest for improvements. Except maybe beach towels...we bought quite a few at the ABC Store ($14ea; per Maui Condo's suggestion), but seems guests wouldn't steal beach towels any more than they'd steal regular towels (or the beach chairs, or the beach umbrella, or anything else in the condo)...so why not supply them (I'm directing my comment to the Owners)? 5 or 6 beach chairs & beach umbrella supplied in the condo (high quality for all). We found the condo unit to actually be roomier than it appeared in the pictures - usually we find the opposite. And, the staff provides generous amounts of initial stock for paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, dishwasher/laundry detergent (and people leave the extra they may have bought)...we've rented other condos where such initial provisions were disappointingly skimpy. TV situation could use some more detailed explanations, esp as there are 3 or 4 remotes next to each TV. I'm reasonably familiar with all the variables that users might mess up, like changing to an incorrect input or changing screen parameters...but those who aren't could be a bit lost if the previous user had hit a few wrong buttons. Also, the Spectrum cable system could use better ways to ID HD stations vs SD stations broadcasting the same content...took us a while to find HD channels for the football & baseball games we wanted to watch. But we didn’t use the TV’s much – we were in Maui! Kamaole Beach Park II - right across the street - was perfect for our grandsons, ages 4, 6, 9 & 11. 5-6 minute walk from the condo, very nice beach. Waves big enough for kids to play in (0.5-2.5ft), boogie board & body surf a bit but (except on a few windy afternoons) not big enough to be too dangerous (always with proper close supervision of course). One day we went down to Makena Beach, 10 minutes away to the south - big mistake, we left after 15 minutes. Big, dangerous waves (4-8 footers, breaking right on the sharply sloped beach), got extremely windy a few minutes after we got settled to evaluate the situation. This is no place for kids, and on that day was no place for anybody...in fact we heard later in the week that an adult swimmer died that day in the surf. The gentleman there who supervises the required car/per-person payments (quite high!) should be advising all people of the dangerous situation BEFORE they pay - especially those with kids. As we were leaving we told everyone we saw coming in with kids to turn around. The kitchen has more dishes/glasses/cups/utensils/gadgets than you could expect, all of a very high quality. Even such things as tupperware, coffer grinder & esp/capp machine. Great kitchen. More towels/linens than you could possibly use (esp with a the washer/dryer). Nice balconies off all rooms. And the Maui Condo & Home team was FANTASTIC. Extremely responsive, patient, accommodating (we had to reschedule 3 times due to the ongoing COVID situation). Can;t say enough good things about every single person we dealt with. Recommended outings: The obvious: Drive up to Haleakala, drive the Road to Hana. The aquarium at Maui Ocean Center is terrific (if expensive). The Old Lahaina Luau is terrific - all of our grandsons (4-11) were enthralled by the signing/dancing/chanting/costumes/history & lore. We highly recommend this luau. Lahaina Fish Company is a great restaurant, seating on decks right over the water. Dragon's Teeth/Pointe was a nice outing, up in Kapalua. And we took a day trip to Oahu, to take the kids to the sprawling Pearl Harbor memorials/ships/sub/museums - long day, but a fantastic day. Safeway - 24hr supermarket - about 4 miles away is the best place to stock up on groceries.

What a great place to stay! The Maui Banyan is located less than a 2 minute walk to the beach; and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We stayed in Condo H103, updated, clean, full kitchen with everything you need, new furniture ~ very comfortable. Loved having coffee in the early morning on the lanai looking at the beautiful plumeria trees in bloom. Very relaxing vacation.

We booked the Maui Banyan a little last minute so we were worried we may have missed the best places to stay, but there was no need to worry, we loved it! Our one bedroom suite was clean and bright with two bathrooms, living room, full kitchen and large balcony. We were so shocked at how large the space was, it was like our own apartment in paradise. We even had a blender and made ourselves fresh smoothies every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful, there is lots of free parking and the hotel is right across from the beach. Would definitely recommend!

The location of the property is awesome, directly across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We had a great ocean view from our lanai. The pools are fine, and the unit itself was fine, except that the pullout sofa bed was unsleepable - I had to sleep on the couch, which was less than comfortable, but I got used to it. Next time we'll spring for a 2-bedroom unit.

This is our 1st visit in Maui . We rented this resort for 4 night. We love the resort . Verities of flower plants and easy access to the beach . My wife took lot of picture and enjoyed Maui very much.

This hotel is our favorite when we come to Waikiki. The room is comfortable and has everything that we are looking for when we are on vacation. The staff are remarkable. Three staff members stand out to us on our most recent trip, namely Randy, Cliff and John. They are very friendly and always looking for a way to make our staff better. 21st Floor of Aston Waikiki Banyan, super loud music from some hotel/club a couple blocks away toward the beach, Can hear with the doors closed and A/C unit running loud. Super ridiculous - I truly don't want to hear this crappy music all night long. Will not be back to Waikiki as seeing the reviews, there doesn't seem to be any hotel within a few miles where this noise pollution does not reach. Hotel staff can't deal with it. Honolulu - will not be back - so many other places in the world to travel where annoying club music is not a factor. Incredibly Disappointed. And an easy fix if you want repeat visitors who are older than 25.

Overall, the room was nice with a beautiful view of Waikiki beach. I thought we would be getting a room with a queen bed. In actuality, it was two twin beds pushed together with queen size bedding. I feel this is misleading considering it is advertised as a queen bed.

I was absolutely horrified at the condition of our condo we reserved from September 20-27, 2021. Upon arrival we refused the 1st assigned room it was filthy, The 2nd room we slept in 1 night and the bathroom, was so dirty I refused to take a shower but washed up. I was again moved to a 3rd condo. It was cleaner but I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. We were given a $100 credit which I felt was an insult. I will never recommend or stay again at Aston Banyan Waikiki Beach or any of their locations . Absolutely filthy rental property.

I am a long time visitor to Kaanapali and have been renting there every winter since 1993. Throughout this time, I have never had any serious problems until now. In March of 2021, I arranged to rent Unit 364 through the owners of this condo, for my January/ February 2022 trip. I secured this rental with a $2,000 deposit at that time. All of our flight arrangements were made as well. On November 10, 2020, I reached out to the owners to inquire about when they wished to have the balance owing paid, only to be told that they had double-booked and the condo was no longer available to us. After having my deposit for over 7 months, they did not have the decency to inform me of their decision to double-book. At this late date, it is next to impossible to find another accommodation, as Maui is extremely busy during the high season. The owners were extremely rude and simply said they had put a refund check in the mail ‘a while back’ ! To date, I have not received this check. I would highly recommend that you not consider dealing with these owners.

We loved staying at The Whaler. Spacious condominium. Convenient location. Service and cleanliness were great. It was important to us to have a kitchen in which to store and re-heat carryout food and to also be able to make toast in the morning. We hope to return to The Whaler very soon.

The Aston Islander is in a prime location, right on a beautiful beach, next to a shopping mall and central for travelling anywhere on the island. The staff is friendly and accomodating but limited hours of service. The gardens are well kept and stunning. Unfortunately, the resort is showing its age. The bed in our room was small, and lumpy. The furniture on the balcony was so old and ratty it was not usable. We had smoke coming in through the door joinng us the next condo. That being said, the good did outweigh the bad and I would recommend this resort.

Vast overpriced. Good location, but terribly uncomfortable beds, old, damp, musty rooms made this a place I would never stay at again and would recommend to others to avoid. Very few amenities again made this not worth the price at all.

We just spent a week at the Aston Islander On The Beach in Kauai. The resort is wonderful and I'd highly recommend it to anyone staying in Kauai. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was pristine and well landscaped. However, the best feature was the location, being right on the beach in Kapa'a. Our beach front room had a private lanai only a few feet from the beach. We ate all of our meals sitting on the lanai, relaxing and watching the the ocean. The resort is also right next to the Coconut Marketplace which contains a number of shops and restaurants. The stores sell anything you need to make your vacation comfortable as well as many souvenirs. The restaurants provide many different styles of food and we enjoyed everything that we ate from each of the restaurants. Garden views everywhere. Who builds a property on the beach in a "v" shape so most of the rooms see trees instead of water. The rooms are 1980's chic, peeling paint on the ceilings, tired bathtubs with scratches, old calking and just not nice. New paint on the walls covers about 200 other coats of paint from over the years. 1980's rail lighting to match the old style tile counter tops. The elevators were scary to get into with nasty dirty doors with some type of white liquid everywhere. We paid $6,000 for 9 days. Won't fall for that again!!

My room on the PH Floor was so beautiful with a great view. The facility is clean and well kept. The staff their is so accommodating and nice. The General Manager - Mark Mrantz is awesome. I loved my stay at Kaanapali Shores. It made my business trip successful and fun.

A wonderful get-away right off the shores of Kaanapali beach. Hotel is clean, fresh look and great amenities. Coffee bar, movie kiosk, shops, spa, pools, garden retreats, amazing sunset views. Well manicured landscape and friendly staff that really makes you feel welcomed and to top it all off, the hotel has a wonderful on-site Clubhouse dinning and bar with amazing menu choices and fun flavorful drinks. My team and I had a late night dinner and the staff was still full of energy and the food came out fresh. I look forward to my next visit.

We rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite for 4 people. There were only 3 chairs on our deck. When asked for a 4th chair were told it's not possible to get another one. Not much of a beach area. Very hard pillows, After 4 days still have a stiff neck.

Love Kona by the sea, highly recommend! Had a very enjoyable family vacation location was awesome! Overlooking beautiful lava reef area, with tide pools great also! Enjoyed the view from the master bedroom in the 2 bedroom unit!

Great location, great kitchen, great room, awful service. They don’t clean the rooms, charge for towels, and give enough shampoo for one when 4 people are in a room. Hidden fees galore and poor service have made me really regret this reservation. Don’t make our mistake.

The room size and amenities inside the room were great. Rating themselves as a 4 star hotel is questionable. My 2 problems were (1) front desk person who made us wait outside for 6 hrs with our luggage. I had called twice in advance and asked if they would hold our luggage indoors while we waited and was told yes. That didn't happen. Granted we flew in 9 am and we're told check in was at 4 pm. But she was very rude, and offered nothing for us but the key to use a restroom. The sign on the office said it closed at 4pm, so how people checked in before then was a mystery. Everytime I checked to see if maybe we could get our room soon the answer was always " check in is at 4pm". Then by 3:30 pm we were told 10 min, then another 10 min wait...very aggravated by then. (2) the outdoor furniture was rusty, torn and moldy cushions....not what you expect for a 4 star hotel!! My only other complaint was a not so comfy bed. Checked in on Aug 16th, 2021 in room 215.

lStayed here many times and always are very happy. There is no better ocean front property! Prefer bedroom units to studios but all have fantastic ocean front views. Pandemic created a few less than normal housekeeping duties but it was still very good.

The following morning after arrival, there were large live cockroaches in the entryway. I stopped at the front desk to inform staff, she stated they just sprayed the day before and offered to send up housekeeping. I asked to move rooms and she was unsure if any rooms were available. She stated she would call back. After retuning to the room, my husband said he saw cockroaches in the utensil drawer the night before; he opened it & found two live bugs, one in a bag of food & one crawling on the counter as we cut fruit. I called back down and stated we continue to find more live ones. Karen reiterated they just sprayed. I explained that I wanted to move rooms; she stated she didn't think they had any rooms but would check with manager between 9-10am. I asked to move to a larger unit; she stated I could and pay the difference; I explained I would not due to an infested room. I stated I would accept a refund to look for an alternate hotel if they could not accommodate. Shortly after, staff called back with an available room but we would need to leave our room to clean before new guests arrived. Our new room had no issues, however; the next day, I realized that our new room was not a premium room that we originally purchased. I stopped and spoke to staff & she stated it was a premium room. I explained the outdated fridge and countertops included in the description were not premium. She continued to reiterate it was premium; I asked to see a room list verifying it was a premium room and she refused to provide it. After arguing with staff for the last two days, I walked away. I was completely disappointed in the customer service, I understand things happen but work with pest control and hotels in my occupation on a daily basis so I am very familiar. If there were known issues take responsibility for them; close the room, offer to up-grade to a larger unit at not cost, offer to re-treat the room. I was glad they moved our family as I would not have stayed but felt bad for the next customer that was placed in the unit without any regard to them. It would have been well received and respected if they would have have refunded my money. I still hope they consider doing that.

Every room is directly on top of the ocean so you can hear the waves crash and have the most spectacular view of the sunsets. The rooms were a tad dated but the location alone made up for it. Also the staff were extremely friendly. We didn’t have any problems but anytime I asked for a recommendation for dinner or a place to hike they were more than happy to help!

Stayed in room 1206. Hotel represented this room as a "premium one bedroom suite". Trust me, this room was not "premium". Old appliances (ice maker didn't work on arrival) and very dated décor and furniture. Amenities at this property are very limited (small pool and tennis court), you must go elsewhere for everything else, including beach chairs.

My wife and I love this place and would not stay anywhere else in Maui. Words cannot express the kindness and friendliest staff at Maui hill. This is my wife and my second stay and have another upcoming reservation in February with 14 of our family members. I would also like to point out Dennis the General Manager of this resort and his kindness and generosity to making our stay personally memorable. We also cannot forget the activities staff and Dawnya for always finding us the best luau’s and snorkel trips etc. Thank you Maui hill staff and management from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do to make our stay amazing as always. Maui Hill is great! This was our third visit and we love the location - close to restaurants, shops and the beach. Our condo’s lanai had a beautiful view of the sunset every night. The pool is very nice and the staff made us feel welcome. Our condo was nice and very clean. We hope to return next year. Dennis, the General Manager, is the best!

We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving at Aston Maui Hill. We had booked online and you usually run the chance of the resort not living up to its' listing. It was the complete opposite with Aston Maui Hill! Quick, efficient and friendly check in with information about the resort and surrounding area provided by Rose-she was great! All of the employees we met were friendly and helpful. The condo was roomy and spotless with a beautiful view of the pool and sunset from the lanai. And on the first level as I requested for my elderly in-laws. Aston Maui Hill is a wonderful place to stay. You can drive or walk a few blocks to shops and restaurants or the beach. We loved the peace and quiet in the evenings. We were only there for three nights but are already planning our return trip. I highly recommend the Aston Maui Hill!!

Congratulate yourself on having found the perfect hotel for you and your family. This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. All staff (especially Cindy) treated us like royalty. Housekeeping does an amazing job. Room is heavenly. Spacious and well equipped with everything you might need including a full kitchen,washer and dryer, private furnished balcony and just steps from a gorgeous beach. All that plus free parking, pool, hot tub and outdoor grilling area.

We reserved the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom Ocean view unit and it was definitely worth it! The unobstructed view from the huge lanai and the full window screen doors from the master bedroom provide an incredible view, whether it be unwinding for the day, or waking up to it. With some covid restrictions and inconveniences during our mid-Aug stay, the lanai provided a great place to dine in. The spacious living room and dining room, the fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer made for an incredible stay. The hotel is more of a condo hotel, so it doesn't have the huge welcoming lobby. The lobby was quite small and undergoing renovation while we were there. The staff was incredible, providing welcome beach bag, with water bottles for all the guests, as well, as beach toys for the kids, and topped off with a box of chocolate. Tip: Make sure you get on a floor 30+, otherwise, there is another hotel obstructing your view. Location can't be beat. While it doesn't sit on the beach, you walk across the street to it. There is also a hotel outdoor shower you can wash off before entering the lobby. The only downside to this hotel was the pool was on the 4th floor (I think) with most of it sitting in the shade during the day due to the building aforementioned above that not only blocks some views but also the sun. Not very appealing so we never used it, but being so close to the ocean, we preferred that to the pool anyway. Lastly, the hotel also offered a communal A/C room to rest up and even use their showers while you're waiting for a later flight.

The Aston Circle is in a great location - directly across from the beach. The rooms / beds are comfortable but might be a little small for big / tall people, especially the bathrooms. The hotel was clean and we enjoyed it. There are no frills; it's not a resort. The balconies offer a nice view of the beach / sunrise / sunset. The restaurant associated with the hotel is good but the wait can be long so go early.

Rooms are small, so reconsider if there are more than two or three of you. A family of four is fine the kids are little, but there is very little floor space for everyone to move around with 2 beds in the room. Hotel is old, but in decent shape. Tiny shower and the water never got very hot, but that was okay after being out in the heat and humidity of Oahu.

The Aston Waikiki Circle hotel is not the westin or hilton, but for the money it is an excellent option. The location is absolutely unbeatable. The photo says it all. The rooms are no frills. Two double beds, a bathroom and a small area with refrig and coffee maker. There is a little restaurant on the ground level and an underground parking garage. A few beach and water toys are avail, but some are trashy. If you are seeing the island on a budget, but want to be on the beach. This place is unbeatable

We have been spending our Hawaiian vacations at the Sunset for many years. There are many great things about the building, including great views of the ocean and Diamond Head, great location to beach, restaurants and shopping, and always friendly staff. That said, there are always weird and quirky things occurring. Elevators were covered with board on this trip, which my Grandson referred to as "the cardboard elevators", maid service was almost non-existent (due to pandemic) and pool use was by reservation only.

She is a type of person who would “under promise and over deliver’, with her quality customer service. We felt valued as Aston guests because of Penny. She cared so much and her compassion made our stay so memorable! Also, Ka’ahele is another very kind front desk we came across. We thank you! I took my 3 girls and mom for a trip to Hawaii after the loss of my father. Aston is the only hotel my husband could find that has 2 bedrooms with kitchen and it is in a great and safe location. He could not join us due to work. It is a short distance to Waikiki beach, restaurants, diamond head, attractions, etc. Parking is convenience and reasonable price. We stayed at Aston brand hotels whenever we visited Hawaii and happy to get to know Penny during this trip, she is truly an asset to Aston!

SPEND YOUR VACATION STAY DOLLARS ELSEWHERE. While I completely understand COVID issues and how that has changed the hospitality industry (I am a small business owner in the service industry), when it came to this part of our much anticipated vacation, we were disappointed and honestly quite fed up with the Aston Waikiki Sunset at every point along the way. Some of the issues we encountered: * The rooms are just “meh”. ESPECIALLY for paying over $3k to stay here for a week, I expect an overly clean room, plenty of blankets and towels, cookware, usable balcony space, solid interior doors (not ones that have slats in them and can be peered through), working windows, hot water, open and accessible amenities as advertised, and the list goes on. Additionally, these items were also ridiculous and or need attention: * griping at people to pull up a mask while their security staff weren’t wearing one at all. * telling guests they must reserve an OUTDOOR POOL time, but failing to answer the phone when guests attempt to call to make said reservation. (And also sending your pool Bouncer to boot people out when there was NO ONE ELSE THERE, if the “time had expired”.) * allowing only 5 people at the pool, and only for an hours time, to then require 30 minutes after to sanitize. How bad are your chemicals that they aren’t working in the first place? Also, do you not think that we are all swimming together in the ocean, right next to each other? ALSO.. having us sign our life away in a waiver to swim in your pool would negate your liability should someone “contaminate” your pool. * the trash, dirt and grime in and around your building needs to be addressed. I understand you can’t do anything about the homeless community hanging out, but if you don’t take care of the outside issues, how can you not expect them to Use it as a garbage can also? * The “market” in the hotel is basically an offering of a smelly replica of a third-world open air market. Had almost nothing, crazy over priced (as expected), and I’ve honestly had better experiences in actual third world countries with markets. *your parking pass system is in dire need of streamlining. You should simply add a daily charge for parking to the room for the duration of a guest’s stay rather than having someone attempt to navigate through a broken stall with different directions from whomever is working that shift on how to insert one ticket, but grab another, but pay for the last hours you were there, but you need a new ticket when you come back, but also it’s prorated when you come Back so you’ll need an additional ticket. What the heck. All in all, if I could do it again, a thousand times over I would stay somewhere else. I’ve been to Oahu before, but this was by far the most disappointing.

I hate writing bad reviews. But I try to keep all my reviews fair and genuine. Overall, a sub-par experience. Positives - every employee there is incredibly helpful and they do their best with what they’ve got. Negatives: 1. We used to stay at the Kahala, Halekulani, or Trump whenever we visited Waikiki. I have to say this section of Main Street is meaningfully worse. Within 3 min of walking in the alley behind the building, 8 out of the 10 people I walked past were either high or homeless. Also saw a drug dealer dealing in broad daylight. This is not an exaggeration. 2. The hotel is super small. One unit per floor and only 9 units. The rooms are tight and you feel like there are no amenities. You can schedule the pool for your own family, but the “pool” is maybe the size of 5 jacuzzis. 3. Breakfast is the worst I’ve had in North America. My prior worst was in Italy, but this was really sad. We went once and didn’t bother going the next two days. 4. Second day, pressed the “Clean room” button as we left at 10:30 am. The room was not cleaned six hours later when we returned. 5. When I checked in, I told them that I’d like to see if I can check out at 1 pm. They didn’t really give an answer, though they booked the return car at 1 pm. They also booked a surfing lesson for my kids from 9-11 am the day of our departure. When I returned after dropping off my kids at 9:30 am, they told me I need to be out by 11 am because someone is checking in at 4 pm. This is completely understandable because they really run a tiny operation (only 9 rooms). But it does raise the issue of a small operation. They have no wiggle room. I purposely didn’t want to stay at Trump this time around. But sadly I’d have to say I will not return to Espacio even if it was free. This side of the main street is REALLY BAD. No joke. There were homeless people laying on the ground within 20 seconds from the door every single day.

Everything was A+++++++ with this hotel. Every staff member was cordial, helpful, and sincere. I love the doormen, as they treated us like friends! The room: It was so spacious and the amenities were top notch! The bed was super comfy and the bathrooms were luxurious, even the blow dryer was DYSON! I was about to bring my Dyson but nice to know they had that as their standard hair dryer. The toiletries were the best quality and they offer free sunscreen! We were able to use the kitchen to make meals and even BBQed upstairs. The appliances were like what we had at home, super high end and made the stay comfy. The view is beautiful and the private jacuzzi was used every night, while every morning we used our private deck. One thing though, do not expect quiet, it is on a busy tourist street - we didn't mind this since the windows were well isolated. If you're looking to jacuzzi in your private deck in quiet, that won't happen. Location: TOP NOTCH! Walking distance to the beaches, shops, and restaurants. Mugen, the restaurant downstairs was such a memorable and delicious dinner. It's easy to get to places from here and they provide a car with free parking! Amenities: The pool and spa upstairs was super private, we didn't even see another guest when we visited. The view from the pool is stunning! We also felt covid safe with all the wipes and hand sprays. FYI, there's so many amenities, I can't list them all! EVEN SLIPPERS! Service: Best in industry. From greeting, housekeeping, service and doormen, they were all so gracious and kind. We love the friendly and sincere smiles. They also offered us the chairs and beach towels that made our beach visits so comfortable. It was superb! I can't rave enough about this place. I will be back!

Hotel staff seemed out of practice and was not able to accommodate many of our requests, and were not able to accommodate some of the advertised amenities. Having stayed in a Four Seasons property the night before I checked in to ESPACIO, my standards were high – and ESPACIO far surpassed them. From the moment I arrived to the time I departed, the entire staff provided a seamless experience that left me impressed over and over again. The hotel’s butler, Wesley, was more thoughtful than I could have imagined, arranging an incredible in-room breakfast that delivered on even the smallest of my preferences. Then there are the rooms – expansive suites that cover an entire floor complete with a roomy private balcony and outdoor Jacuzzi. I woke up to the most incredible view of Waikiki Beach. It’s amazing how you can feel so relaxed and at peace while situated in the middle an incredible, cosmopolitan city. Don’t miss the rooftop infinity pool (there is a spa on the same level) and onsite dining at Mugen – all very worthy of a visit. , I’ve never been to a hotel with more thoughtful, personalized service and amenities. Considering there are only 9 rooms, I feel very lucky to have secured a reservation and can’t wait to come back.

Staff were pleasant, mannerly and accommodating. Relaxed environment. Towels were available for beach. On-site parking available with in out access. Hotel is walking distance to beach and stores. I stay here anytime I am in waikiki. Having kitchenette with fridge makes it handy to have breakfast and cook a lunch without always going out. Great place for family with children. Good value for moneyespecially in waikiki where a budget can get out of hand quickly.

I booked Ewa since it was one of the cheapest options that still had a kitchen and a balcony and that was a mistake. The kitchen was unusable, the burners did not get hot on the stove, there was no spatula, the burners were tilted, and there's no room to do anything. I would have been better off with just a microwave and mini fridge, which comes in most hotel rooms anyways. The balcony was okay but incredibly loud and windy and it's looking directly into other people's rooms across the alley. Neither the tv remote nor the remote for the AC worked at all. There was also a surprising lack of outlets, which made charging difficult and inconvenient. There was also an unexpected $15 a day "resort" fee as well as $30 a day parking. Not sure what the resort fee goes to since there are literally zero amenities. The hotel itself felt incredibly dirty and the elevator smelled so strongly of urine it was almost unbearable. On my last day here they were doing construction on my floor (there was no warning) at 8 am. The rooftop would have been nice had the area been better maintained. The only benefit of this hotel was the location, but honestly I'd recommend something that is just a bit deeper into the town since this is on the edge of everything.

Service is good. Parking is ok, however daily charge of $30 is quite pricey. Hotel rooms appear to be old, need to upgrade kitchen appliances, bathrooms need vent and new amenities. Hotel room door looks old. Curtain inside hotel rooms are dirty with stains. Bed is comfortable. AC works well, not too noisy.

The hotel is definitely showing its age. The room was well care for. The pool deck was a hazard. I slipped just by normal walking to the stairs. I saw a couple of kids slip and fall. I don’t bounce as well as I used too, so I am more careful

We liked it very much. We made use of the full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, and silverware. A pleasant surprise was the availability of beach chairs that we could check out, and return as needed. We will stay there again when we go back to Honolulu.

One of the first skyscrapers on Waikiki, the Ilikai is well recognized by any viewer of shows based In Hawaii. The location is convenient to downtown, Waikiki, and Ala Moana. You’ll have to walk a bit to get to the beach, more so than the neighboring Hilton property, but it’s not far and you’ll likely appreciate the cost savings on the room rate. There are two pools, plus a handful of helpful shops and restaurants right in the building. The suites are comfortable and spacious, with the Ocean View absolutely delivering. Of course there are some other buildings in the way, but that’s just Waikiki. I found the kitchen to be clean, modern and pretty well appointed, same with the bathroom. A dishwasher would have been nice, but it certainly wasn’t promised. Laundry is available on each floor. Some of the furnishings looked their age, but overall a pleasant experience.

Hotel is clean, rooms are clean, most staff are friendly to guests (but not all are friendly to locals), valet was WONDERFUL, the elevator wait time was horrible but it’s a popular hotel so expect the wait time. Love the full kitchen and the spacious rooms! We love staying here!

We stayed in an oceanview/sunset view room on the 25th floor, which was lovely. It had almost a full-sized kitchen with new appliances and the decor otherwise was refreshed (art work/carpet/bed and bed linens/bathroom/etc.). The sunsets from our lanai were lovely. With the ABC Market across the street, you can buy breakfast/lunch items for the refrigerator and enjoy these meals on your lanai. There is an interesting small pool on the 2nd floor level/terrace, that they are trying to have as "Adults Only", but sometimes that worked in theory, not practice. That pool had large plastic lounge chairs in it, for even more relaxation.

The hotel is definitely showing its age. The room was well care for. The pool deck was a hazard. I slipped just by normal walking to the stairs. I saw a couple of kids slip and fall. I don’t bounce as well as I used too, so I am more careful

We liked it very much. We made use of the full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, and silverware. A pleasant surprise was the availability of beach chairs that we could check out, and return as needed. We will stay there again when we go back to Honolulu.

One of the first skyscrapers on Waikiki, the Ilikai is well recognized by any viewer of shows based In Hawaii. The location is convenient to downtown, Waikiki, and Ala Moana. You’ll have to walk a bit to get to the beach, more so than the neighboring Hilton property, but it’s not far and you’ll likely appreciate the cost savings on the room rate. There are two pools, plus a handful of helpful shops and restaurants right in the building. The suites are comfortable and spacious, with the Ocean View absolutely delivering. Of course there are some other buildings in the way, but that’s just Waikiki. I found the kitchen to be clean, modern and pretty well appointed, same with the bathroom. A dishwasher would have been nice, but it certainly wasn’t promised. Laundry is available on each floor. Some of the furnishings looked their age, but overall a pleasant experience.

Nice hotel, lobby is very nicely decorated. This is basically the first hotel once you hit the Waikiki strip coming from the airport. Within walking of most points of attractions, but long walk (not for elderly), and not conveniently located to Waikiki Beach or the Waikiki wall. Close proximity to Fort DeRussy Beach, which is sandy, but rocky once you hit the water (bring water shoes). BE AWARE of the $35/day valet fee that you HAVE to pay, that was a surprise! No breakfast included, and restaurant at hotel is VERY expensive ($80 for a family of four....for takeout). Nice to have a balcony, but there no real ocean view balconies. Room was nice, cool, and roomy; but beds were hard and pillows were some of the worst I've ever had. I would recommend if the price is right, but you would be better off finding somewhere more centrally located in Waikiki, with more comfort for a little more money. Mahalo

This boutique hotel located at the beginning of Waikiki on Kalakaua Ave. is a good value for your money. It's a "no frills" hotel with friendly staff and valet. Convenient location and very walkable to Waikiki shops, beaches and restaurants.

Staff makes you welcome and is helpful, price was reasonable. Location is next to a Hui car rental and on or close to buses that go all over the island. 3 blocks to the beach through a park. Special rates for seniors and first responders. I was there for a funeral and staff was most kind and helpful.

Great Location. (5 min walk to Ft DeRussy beach & only a 15min walk to Waikiki Beach) Great service and friendly staff. Super clean. Best smelling hotel I've ever been in. 24/7 valet. What else can you ask for? I'm so glad we chose the Luana for our family trip to Hawaii. Mahalo from our ohana.

We absolutely love the Maui Kaanapali Villas resort, and particularly unit 180. The resort sits north of black rock, away from all the crowds on the main part of Kaanapali Beach, while still an easy walk on the beach path to Whaler’s Village and other resort restaurants. The beach here is outstanding – calm waters, nice sand, and great snorkeling just a short walk up the beach. The resort provides lounge chairs (for free!) on the lawn in front of the beach, has a nice pool and hot tub, a great bar, okay restaurant, and activity rentals all right there on site. This condo unit #180 is right on the lawn facing the ocean, and it’s wonderful to be able to walk right out of your condo to the lounge chairs and beach, or lounge on the lanai looking out at the water and sunsets. The bed is very comfortable, the linens and towels are especially soft, the décor throughout the condo is lovely, the LR has a huge TV that you can watch from the lanai as well, the bathroom and kitchen are modern and spacious, and the condo has every amenity you might need. The owners even provide beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach items you might need which we really appreciated. They are also very responsive to communicate with and very accommodating. This was our second stay in this unit and we will definitely be returning. The only down-side – it’s extremely hard to leave!

Our family had another wonderful stay at MKV. Our room was clean, spacious and it felt like our home away from home! Enjoyed relaxing down at the pool and the beautiful beach. We also love that Castaways is right there on the property, we had friendly service and there's plenty of choices on the menu that even the picky eaters in the family had food they'd eat! We also loved being able to grab a cup of coffee or tea for our morning stroll along the beachfront walk. A special thank you to Michael for capturing a few beautiful sunset family photos. It's the little gestures like that that stand out and make MKV our top place to stay while visiting Maui!

Easy check in, castaway cafe was good, beach was fantastic and the rooms were clean. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and the activity shack was good. Spent most of our trip sitting in a cabana or swimming in the ocean.

This was our first time at this hotel. Not fancy but great for the price. and location great. You can walk to the beach, Whaler's village (if you like walking), Duke's. Restaurant on site is Castaway Cafe. Great food, nice view, and wonderful Bloody Mary. They are going through renovations but it did not bother us. Our room had been updated inside and was very nice and very comfortable. However it did have a few issues. I strongly suggest if you get assigned room 182, refuse it and ask for any other room in that same building. The building it was in is in the best location, but that room is the worst because of position in the building and no freezer in the refrigerator.

fix the CDs and the CD players Have security at the back entrance, the talking noise is disturbing at night. I was on the fourth floor and I could still here people talking and it was the same voices for two night. There were arguing by same people shouting and fighting one night. The last night of my stay I called at 11:00 PM and asked for security to tell them go talk somewhere else, so it stopped st 12:00 AM. The bed was not comfortable for me. I sleep on my back.

When I first arrived I handed Linda a gift certificate that was given to me from front desk the last visit. She made as if I stored it because there was no signature. She sent me to a room with no AC and a toilet which over flowed. Sent me to the next room and the room was not cleaned which they had us clean with a vacuum. Never was there housekeeping that cleaned our room throughout stay

I always choose this hotel when traveling to O’ahu. They’re an amazing hotel where everything is close by and we didn’t need to travel far to the stores. We can’t wait to visit again on our family trips.

I have been staying here 3 weeks a month since the end of February. The condos and houses are always clean, the staff is great and more than helpful. I have never had 1 complaint and will continue to stay here whenever I come to town.

Our vacation with family was very nice however we did have some hiccups. 30 minutes before our check in time we received a message saying that we were downgraded which was a big deal because we were traveling with 14 people. They try to accommodate us into town houses versus the one original and we made it work but that’s definitely not what we signed up for. We had to check-in In a completely separate subdivision from where our townhouse was. Then when I receive the paperwork it didn’t show the address to where the townhouse was so we were driving around aimlessly. Once we got into the townhouse there was barely enough dishes. No remote controls in two of the rooms. All in all we had a good time with our family but there was definitely room for improvement

I won’t be ever staying here again for multiple reasons. When we showered, the water would leak out of the ceiling lights downstairs in the living room, preventing us from turning on the light or using any electrical equipment within that area out of fear of being electrocuted. The bathroom cabinets had stuff on them, the vents were covered in dust, the toilets flooded. We were left with 1 giant trash bag and 1 toilet tissue per bathroom and some of the tissue rolls were USED! I use the bathroom a lot and have a sinus problem so tissue is very much needed. The front desk never answered their phone when I tried calling about the electrical issue and I called 4 times. The toilets flooded everyday, we found straight brown hair on the bed and both me and my partner are African American with curly hair. The front desk employees had a bad attitude and vibe. They never smiled.

Very disappointed in cleanliness of unit, availability of towels at pool, and quality of pool furniture. Carpet, blinds, and screens in unit not cleaned in years apparently. Mattresses old and tired. Incredible how far down hill this property has gone in 2 years. Vanessa at check in was great!!

Elevator broke the entire stay. Stayed on the 4th floor. Wi-Fi broke the entire stay. Both my wife and I have chronic pain. Made the whole trip rough. Asked to move and told no available rooms. I will spend my money else where.

Overall very nice condo. Had an few problems but nothing to serious. I will stay there again. The most important aspect of the place is that they have a beautiful pool but don't appear to heat it. That would make our stay much more enjoyable.

After driving 10 hours, when we got there we couldn’t check in. There is no one at the desk. You have to wait for some sketchy “security” person to bring u a key. Then u have to go back the next morning between 7 and 11 am to check in. Well we were going to Disney. A HUGE inconvenience.

Call for reservations and Joseph is the hotel reps that was very friendly, giving tips of how and where to visit , explaining to me how to get around Waikiki area and nearby attractions, Joseph was very helpful and friendly he make sure to explained to me what I need to do for check in and how to get to Aqua Skyline. Overall my stay is an excellent stay , the night view is amazing, will surely come back to visit again.
