Notice: Temporary Road Closure

Po‘ipū Road & Pe‘e Road Closure Effective March 2 – 23, 2026

The County of Kaua‘i will be temporarily closing Pe‘e Road at the Po‘ipū Road intersection from March 2 through March 23, 2026, weather permitting, to accommodate the ongoing construction of the roundabout. During this time, a detour route has been put in place to access Aston Po‘ipū Kai Resort.

 

Detour Route Instructions:

If you are arriving from Ala Kinoiki:

• Turn right onto Po‘ipū Road
• Turn left onto Ho‘owili Road
• Turn left onto Ho‘one Road
• Turn left onto Pe'e Road
• Continue to follow the Pe'e Road for 0.8 miles 
• The Aston Poipu Kai Front Office will be on your right

Note: You will see a road sign to let you know that the road ahead is closed. It will not block your way to the Aston Front Office.

 

Important Note for Guests Staying at the Kahala and Regency Building:

After checking in and parking near your unit, you will not be able to continue forward through Pe‘e Road due to the closure.
You will need to:

• Retrace your route back out the same way you came in.
• Use the detour route around the closure whenever entering or exiting the property.

 

Flaggers will be onsite during work hours, and no parking is allowed within any marked construction zones.
