My husband and I stayed at this resort the latter part of the week on Wednesday and Thursday. It was comfortable and staff was awesome!
What I did not like was that we were on the second floor and above us was someone's child jumping up and down. Sounded as if they were jumping off the bed. I called office and was told that they would call people above us. The running and jumping continued after that call. I again called office and they told me that basically there was nothing they could do about it! We were very unhappy especially since we paid over 200 a night. The running and jumping did not stop...it was about 8:30 almost 9 pm. The next day the running started at 7am fortunately for us that day we wanted to see a couple of places early. So we hurried up and got out of there.
When we left the following morning I told the staff that I was very disappointed with the noise level.
This is an amicable, comfortable, clean low-key resort where families can chill out in a safe environment.

This is not a five star hotel. There will be things that aren't perfect with your apartment. Our door lock broke a couple of times but maintenance fixed without fuss. However in general if you aren't overly fussy the accommodation will be great. As a European I don't get why Americans don't use electric kettles, boiling on the stove is much slower. The pool area is lovely. Again nothing to impressive but more than adequate to play in for the children and parents. Jenny and staff at bar are friendly and provide a great service. The food is good value and tasty. There are plenty of restaurants you can walk or drive to at Championsgate. Red Robin was probably the best of them imo. There aren't a lot of other amenities in the resort, golf and a gym. However, this isn't a problem as most people are there to visit the parks which take the day. It's location is handy and took half an hour to drive to Universal.
I would recommend this resort to anyone needing a nice place to stay while visiting the parks or central Florida. The karaokee was good fun on Saturday nights. I like the fact that it is off the highway and even though you can hear the highway you feel secluded. There is a seven-eleven at top of road into resort and pharmacy, supermarket, Publix, a minute further away.
Dirty and run down

The room is grimy. It's been cleaned but only on a surface level, there is ground in grime on all walls and door frames. There are bulbs missing, the cable box doesn't work, there are electrical outlet faceplates missing. The A/C unit randomly loses power completely and that's not good in FL, it heats up quickly. We asked for an extra blanket when the A/C was working but never received it. The pool gate only works sometimes and I've heard people talking at the pool who have come in from outside the resort because they know they can get in without a key. Very unimpressed, wouldn't stay here again. On the plus side, the pool is heated, quite large, and the hot tub appears to be clean. The food at the restaurant, which is run by a separate company, is very good. Location is convenient to Disney properties, just a couple of exits down on the highway.
I have mixed reviews on this resort. First the employees, Graciela, from house keeping, always smiling and trying to help when she could have ignored my struggles with the computer. Carmelo in maintenance 20 minutes before his shift ended had to fix our toilet and this man was all smiles and never was upset to help us. The restaurant and bar at the pool area is the plus. When all you want to do is relax there is no going back to the room to cook you can get a great meal onsite. Dave the owner has a great personality as did his staff. My negatives are the condos "can" be worn and out of date. You are at the mercy of the owner of the unit as to whether the place truly feels vacation worthy. I started my 3 week stay with having to spot clean a filthy worn stained carpet. The general cleaning was good but only so much could be done with the old carpet and furniture. I paid a lot of money. Some of the buildings border I-4 and forget sitting on your balcony if you want tranquility. This being said I will return and have been promised a much better unit next Feb. It is worth a stay with all businesses within walking distance. Thank you Jenny, the manager, for trying to take care of issues out of your control. The following questions are hard to answer as all units are not the same quality. I am rating on my stay in one of many units. If quality throughout the resort is important the owners need to be held accountable for updating.
