If you want to live large, yet save a little in Waikiki, then look no further than the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel. It is centrally located, right across the street from Waikiki Beach, and close to a number of shopping, dining, and activity destinations. With its amazing ocean views, unbeatable prices, and whimsical architecture (designed to resemble a Chinese lantern), the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel is bound to put a smile on your face.
The room has a very clean and comfortable environment. Location is superb, right near the beach with various surfing stores nearby. Their elevators are by room key only, so safety is greatly ensured for female travelers. Staffs are also very friendly: offered us discounts relate to the hotel, advised us on traveling, and helped us call a taxi to the airport at midnight. Price is extremely reasonable compared to the service we got, so I greatly recommended!
Right across the street from Kuhio Beach which is perfect for little kids. We had a beautiful oceanfront room, the beds were really comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The shower was snug along with the limited parking spaces available, but with all the other positive experiences, I still give it 5 stars. Happy with my stay and will be back!
Great price, great location, solid choice.
We were a little skeptical of this hotel because it was so well-priced, but the room was excellent and the hotel is in a great location. It is across the street from the beach, without any hotel in the way on the beach side, like some of the places further west on Kalakaua St. It is centrally located so you're in easy walking distance of Queen Kapiolani park (where the zoo and aquarium are) and also the shopping at the west end of Kalakaua if that's your thing. Also, if you take tours or go to the Polynesian Cultural Center, a lot of the tour busses pick up behind the Hyatt Regency, which is only a block away.
The hotel is older but the rooms are clean and were fine for me and my wife. We were offered an upgrade to a full beach view for cheap, which we recommend - it's nice to be able to see the ocean from your balcony. The AC works well, as does the wifi - we've been to many hotels where the wifi is terrible, not here. We had several phones, laptops, and tablets connected and never had an issue. There are a lot of electrical outlets on the walls and electrical outlets on the lamps, so we were able to keep everything charged. Complementary coffee (and tea) is nice and plentiful, including half-and-half. We used the refrigerator and hotel safe, no issues.
Also, the restaurant at the bottom of the hotel, Eggs N' Things, is pretty good for breakfast, and is nice and close. They seem to have a line every morning, so get there early.
The only minor issues we had at the hotel is that the TV seemed a little unstable - it seemed like we would often get a "No Signal" indication after watching a channel for a bit. The good wifi made the TV issue less important, and we weren't looking to watch a lot of TV while on vacation. Also, the water pressure in the shower isn't great, but good enough to get the job done. The showers are quite small, and I suspect the water pressure is purposely kept lower so that you don't flood the bathroom. We told the front desk about the water pressure and they sent someone, but it didn't change. A little higher water pressure and better TV would have made this room about perfect, for us at least.
But other than those 2 things, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The staff is very friendly and the value for the location is excellent.
older hotel with a casual vibe
What everyone says about this place is true - the staff is amazing - we had a problem with our first room and were switched the next day, no problem! It was refreshing to have people actually take care of blips without passing it on - nothing big - a remote didn't work, extra towels that sort of thing. Parking was well done and the bar/restaurant was pretty good.

Great location right across from Waikiki beach and walking distance to lots of great shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean but very small however all rooms seem to have at least a partial ocean view.
