If you want to live large, yet save a little in Waikiki, then look no further than the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel. It is centrally located, right across the street from Waikiki Beach, and close to a number of shopping, dining, and activity destinations. With its amazing ocean views, unbeatable prices, and whimsical architecture (designed to resemble a Chinese lantern), the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel is bound to put a smile on your face.
Was at the circle for 2 days as a stay over before we left, rooms are on the smaller side but we had 2 adults and 2 kids and were fine. There is ac in the rooms but not in the hall way. Older hotel but nice especially if you want the old Hawaiian feel. Great location.
Ask for the ocean front rooms which are a little extra but the view is worth it.
Great little place that's been outgrown by the newer fancier places. I'll take this place any day. Clean comfortable. Close to everything. Very nostalgic place. Friendly, helpful staff, and priced reasonably for the are.
Noisy and in need of refurbishment.

If you want to be right on the beach front with sea views over Waikiki at a reasonable price then this hotel maybe for you? But, it is cheap and cheerful and does have a downside. The hotel is an oddly designed concrete structure that is in need of refurbishment and can be quite noisy. Doors to the rooms do not fit properly and there is a good 10mm gap under the door and a 3-4mm gap around, (at night you will readily see light from the corridor penetrate around the door frame), this means that any noise from the corridor, which is not carpeted, comes straight through the door. Also the sliding doors to the balcony in both my room and my friend’s room could not be closed properly which meant that the noise from the street outside was also a problem. My friend had a standard room at the rear of the hotel. However, the hotel that is just to the rear of the Aston Waikiki Circle has a large 4th floor sundeck with pool, there also bars and BBQ areas; this generated a lot of noise in the evening.
We both slept as best as we could with earplugs.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are smaller than they appear in the photos. Although they are getting old they are clean and well serviced daily by the friendly staff. The hotel lobby will provide beach towels and the beach is literally 50m away across the road.
There is limited parking in the hotel basement at $28/day (2018 price) and when we parked the car there were always spaces available.
Cool Retro Hotel
We loved this hotel. Right across the street from Waikiki Beach and the perfect central location to everything else in Waikiki. Fantastic architecture, this hotel was built in the round to resemble a Chinese lantern (the story of the founder is the lobby), so the rooms have a pie shape to them. It makes the shower stall a tad tight, but it was really no big deal. Front desk staff while we were there "Kamaki" and "John" were just wonderful. Newspaper delivered to your door each day was a real nice touch. No pool, if that's important for you - it wasn't for us. We highly recommend this hotel!

Second stay in 3 years and it did not disappoint us. We love the location on Waikiki. Parking is conveniently located in the garage below. Staff are friendly and the room was clean. Love the Hawaiian tropic toiletries. I cannot get enough of the coconut lotion. Smells like the beach. This hotel is located within walking distance to all of the most popular areas of Waikiki. We enjoy the intimate feel of the hotel. It is nice to just get on the elevator and up to your room quickly without having to navigate through the lobby like other hotels. We didn't mind the few amenities offered. This is what we like about the Aston Circle. I only wish they had king size beds available. The daily paper was a nice touch.
