If you want to live large, yet save a little in Waikiki, then look no further than the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel. It is centrally located, right across the street from Waikiki Beach, and close to a number of shopping, dining, and activity destinations. With its amazing ocean views, unbeatable prices, and whimsical architecture (designed to resemble a Chinese lantern), the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel is bound to put a smile on your face.
nice rooms and the view was great. Was clean and the view of the ocean was awesome. There is a McDonalds right next door and ABC store... was a great place to stay. The staff at the front desk was not as friendly as I would like, but you never know what they were dealing with that day. All said It was a great little hotel with old world charm
You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for is what I said when I checked in. The hotel had no lobby. There was a "ticket booth" and and elevator. I didn't know which line I was standing in because there was a line wrapped around for the restaurant next door that blocked the check in booth.
I booked one Partial ocean view and one city view. The city view was the view of the pool from the hotel next door. So I waved to everyone there. I felt like I can extend my hand and touched them. The partial ocean view was hardly a partial ocean view but I understood thats how these hotels make their money. We were moved from a lower floor to a higher floor but not much better. The rooms were extremely tight along with the bathrooms. It was clean. It would not fit 4 people comfortably, so glad I opted for 2 rooms. I couldn't ever connect to the wifi that was offered so I don't even know why we had to pay a resort fee. This was more of a motel than a resort. I always smelled this stench of urine. I still can't figure out if it was the hotel or Waikiki itself. The parking was ridiculous. $28/night and it was the bottom floor with barely any parking. I've always found a parking spot when I got back in from my day out but I cannot imagine if all the tenants had a car. Where would everyone park?
There is an ABC Store right downstairs and on everyone block. I did not eat at the Eggs and Things on this visit because I've had it before on other visits and I wouldn't stand in that line for it.
Aside from the staff and maybe the location that was all that was good about this hotel. You can definitely find something better in the area for about the same amount of money.
Average price...Average hotel
So we booked this hotel based on a recommendation from my in-laws. We thought we would go with a cheaper option than our previous stay at the Hyatt Regency. Going the cheaper option, we got the cheaper service.
The hotel itself was good enough for us to sleep...however, the room it self was a bit small, the bathroom was very small...barely enough room to sit on the toilet and the parking....was actually quite disappointing considering they are charging $28 per night plus tax. The spaces were limited and small. And when it appeared there was no parking, I was told I wasn’t looking hard enough, and pointed me to a spot where the lines were barely visible, and it was right in front of a door way so you would assume you cannot park there.
All in all....you get what you pay for....
Location and View, not much else...smh
(Detroit, Michigan, United States)
The ONLY good things about this hotel is that it's location is great, and the view is remarkable! All down hill after that I'm afraid. The hotel is just steps away from the famous Waikiki beach, but our experience here has been a nightmare... Cockroaches, spoiled coffee creamer, the manager keeps bankers hours and the room I had smelled horrible (and progressively worsened over time, smelled like a dead mouse or something)...We booked through a third party website and since the manager is gone for the day all they could do is offer to give us another room (?)... THIS HOTEL HAS GIANT ROACHES!!! NO, I WANT A REFUND!!!
This little hotel is surrounded by giants, but holds its own. Its retro decor matches the quirky circular building. The place is well maintained. The location is ideal. Directly across the street is the main Waikiki beach access with family friendly areas and loads of surfers. There is a McD’s and ABC convenience store on either side so you can grab something quick without crossing a street. Other restaurants and shops are a short walk away. The zoo is a few blocks down. No need for a rental car with this location.
The amenities are a little sparse, but with the beach, restaurants, and shopping so close by, why do you need a pool? Compared to other hotels nearby, this is more affordable.
