If you want to live large, yet save a little in Waikiki, then look no further than the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel. It is centrally located, right across the street from Waikiki Beach, and close to a number of shopping, dining, and activity destinations. With its amazing ocean views, unbeatable prices, and whimsical architecture (designed to resemble a Chinese lantern), the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel is bound to put a smile on your face.
Awesome location, across from Waikiki beach. We booked a partial ocean view and were above the garbage dumpster. After talking with front desk staff and paying increase we were moved to a great ocean front room. Rooms are small, we spent most time on the beach or exploring Waikiki. Having refrigerator and coffee maker in the room was a great addition. Rooms were clean.
Location, location, location!
(San Francisco, California)
This place was centrally located in the heart of Waikiki and had the most gorgeous beach front. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only downside is that parking is very limited, so If you’re thinking of renting a car don’t be surprised if their lot is full, as only a few cars can be in the parking garage. (About 20 spots, all on a first come, first served basis) Luckily I never struggled for parking, but I went in December so it might not be as bad as the summer months.
In the Center of Wakiki
Perfect location. Directly across from Waikiki Beach. Everything is within walking distance. Underground parking only for guests. You can't find a better lodging buy in Hawaii. Car rentals and tours available in the lobby.
I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel earlier this month for four nights. From the moment I checked in to my reluctant departure, this hotel really was perfect for my short trip.
I was welcomed by "The Goddess," Naomi, who got me settled in my room, 1403. The hotel is in a round building just across Kalakaua Avenue from the beach. The rooms are uniquely shaped. Mine had two double beds. There is a small desk area, a safe, a refrigerator and a coffee maker. The TV is plenty big. There is also a playstation 3 and you can use this to watch movies and games available for free rental downstairs. (I didn't use this...) The bathroom is smaller and there is a amaller shower without a bath. Toiletries are Hawaiian Tropic and the shampoo smells like coconut!
And then there is the balcony. This is where I spent a great deal of my "in room" time just staring at the ocean and the sunset, enjoying my coffee. It's just wonderful. (See pictures.)
On site parking under the hotel with "in-and-out" privileges was just under thirty dollars nightly. There is a resort fee (but every hotel has a resort fee). Wi-Fi (fast and reliable) is included in the resort fee. A key is required for the elevator so I felt secure and hotel staff is present 24-7. I had a late flight and, for an extra charge, after normal check-out I moved to a room (208) with a 10PM check out. Very convenient for a shower and a nap before my red-eye to the mainland. 10% discount at "Eggs-N-Things" which is right downstairs. Great views and service. Okay food. Review to follow.
The hotel staff is so welcoming and kind. I can't say enough positive about them. They can answer any question you may have.
This was among the cleanest hotel rooms I have stayed.
With respect to location, this hotel is in the Center of Waikiki at Kuhio Beach and walking distance to everything.
Bottom line: I'll return to the Aston Waikiki Circle!
1. Spring for the oceanfront room.
2. The free Kuhio Beach Hula Show is right across the street at the big banyan tree stage on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Google it!
3. Waikiki is a city beach. It's beautiful but it's not a quiet tropical getaway; there are other destinations for that.
4. Enjoy this wonderful and unique place and respect its rich history, tradition and culture. You will feel right at home.
Small room, great location
Love the beach location! It's situated right across the beach and near many shops. It's about 25mins drive from the airport and it cost about USD45 for a cab ride from the airport.
Friendly reception and it was great that we could check in early as we arrived at about 11am. Went for the upgrade to ocean front room at USD15 per day for the view. Higher floors would get the sun but definitely lesser traffic noise. The room was small with two double beds. Bathroom was small too. The hotel is a nonsmoking hotel even at the balcony, so you need to go down and smoke at the designated area.
Didn't opt for breakfast but Eggs N Things is just beside the hotel reception. Expect a long queue in the morning though. There's a big ABC store just beside the hotel so you can buy snacks and drinks there.
There's a resort fee so be sure to get yourself a beach mat, floats, surfboards, and beach towels to make it worth when you go down to the beach for your swim.
Though price is a lil high for a small room, I would consider staying here again for the awesome location!
